Mitsubishi Product Launch
XD250U-ST(D) Short-Throw XGA DLP Projector
XD250U-ST(D) Product Summary
The Mitsubishi XD250U-ST(D) is a short throw DLP projector that offers XGA (1024x768) resolution, a bright
2600 ANSI lumens and a rich 2500:1 contrast ratio all in a package that weighs approximately 7.5lbs. It includes
the latest Texas Instruments DDP2230 chip set which gives your presentations BrilliantColor performance, and
with an amazing 2500:1 contrast ratio making it ideal for presentations in classrooms that require a short throw
image.
Presenters will enjoy the XD250U-ST(D) short-throw projector since there is no longer an issue when presenting
in limited projection space. This short throw design projects a 60” image at only a 33”, or a 100” diagonal image
of an approximate distance of 55” away. With such an amazing short throw projection distance, concerns of
casting a shadow in front of a screen is now eliminated. The XD250U-ST(D) is filter-free and includes flexible
connectivity options for both video and data sources, separate audio inputs, monitor loop through, RS232 port,
audio out and an anti-theft security hook.
Utilizing the latest DLP
®
chipset, the XD250U-ST(D) employs integrated 3D-Ready technology. Perfect for
higher education or corporate applications, images can be rendered in stunning 3Dadding a new dimension to
viewing scientific, architectural, and engineering imagery. The 3D video content must be in field sequential
format, a high end graphic card and special electronic shutter glasses are required.
A high-volume, 10W speaker is built-in, eliminating the need for an external speaker. It also includes dual 3.5mm
audio inputs and a new “Audio Mix” feature that can simultaneously project audio from two audio sources and be
configured to adjust the volume levels from its 10W built-in speaker. A common education application for this
type of configuration would be for a 3
rd
party wireless microphone and audio from an education video, where the
instructor’s voice via a wireless microphone can interject and be heard over the video audio to inform the class of
key points. The instructor’s voice can now be reproduced loud and clear in real time and mixed with the audio of
the video source.
With the new Visual PA—IT Administrators can create messages from a remote system, and have it displayed
via the projectors. Important announcements can be broadcast in real time to multiple classrooms.
An external computer output is available for monitor connection that can enable teachers to face the class during
a class lecture. The XD250U-ST(D) also includes an estimated lamp life rating of up to 6000-hours (low mode),
the proven durability of DLP
®
Technology, and Mitsubishi’s exclusive Express Replacement Assistance (ERA)
warranty.
